Majestic Hills Guesthouse,
Naramata, BC

As winter wraps Majestic Hills in its arms and we spend our evenings snuggled in front of a cozy fire enjoying a glass of Naramata Bench wine, our minds wander ahead to the spring and summer to come, to warm thoughts of visits from old friends and to the new friendships each season brings.

Winter in Wine Country has its own unique compensations — other than the fact that we can enjoy gorgeous winter scenes accompanied by a glass of great wine!

On days like today, we have the great gift of seeing the valley and its vineyards wrapped in a blanket of glistening white and bathed in golden sunshine against a cerulean blue sky. Truly magnificent!

I remain convinced that we are privileged to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth. It never ceases to amaze me.

In many places, winter is a season where there is little to do outdoors. In the Okanagan it's just a season where the focus changes from the lake, beaches and golf courses to the ski hill or cross-country ski trails, to ski dooing and to all the other fabulous outdoor activities available to those lucky enough to be here.

We want to wish all a Merry Christmas and the very best for the New Year.
