Majestic Hills B&B Guesthouse,

Naramata, BC

Mercifully, the Olympic uproar that has engulfed the Lower Mainland has bypassed our quiet corner of Wine Country, for the most part. Winter was… well, winter, with some snow and cold a bit earlier than we usually expect it and then a stretch of milder “El Nino” weather. But that’s the way winter is at Majestic Hills – I guess we are spoiled.

With all the sunshine we’ve had lately, our thoughts have turned to the glories of spring which is fast approaching. It’s beyond my capabilities to describe the incredible sense of renewal that it brings us each year: the buds bursting on the trees, the chorus of the birds and the sublime perfume of a waking Nature.

The daily changing vista spreads before us from the vantage of Majestic Hills, as the Okanagan once again rouses itself from its winter sleep. The mountain slopes don their cloaks of green and the sparkling waters of Okanagan Lake reflect the brilliant blues of our Okanagan skies.

As vineyards and wineries around us get ready for the new season and new buds appear on the trellises, we are all anticipating this year’s Spring Wine Festival. There are always a few delightful surprises with all the new wines released and so many absolutely fabulous wine and food events and superb entertainment.

Soon too, the golfers will be out on greens and fairways up and down the valley.

The season's first visitors will arrive to explore and savour the many wonders of the Okanagan Valley, and the ever popular Kettle Valley Trail will be busy with hikers and cyclists.

This year will see our first wedding at Majestic Hills. Frankly, it was something we hadn’t considered but it is a perfect setting for a quiet, sophisticated, intimate self-catered celebration with a few family and friends and we are thrilled and honoured that Majestic Hills is a part of such an important event in the happy couple's lives.

As always, with the approach of the busy season, we’re very much looking forward to renewing old acquaintances as regular guests return; and meeting new friends when those who visit us for the first time arrive.

See you all soon at Majestic Hills!
